Take Augmentin regularly as prescribed. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.
Take Augmentin at the same time each day for the full prescribed duration, even if you start to feel better. Do not take a double dose.
For most adults, the usual dose of Augmentin is 500mg once a day.
However, if you take a double dose of Augmentin every day, you may need to take two doses to see if you get any benefit from the 500mg dose.
If you take the medicine at the same time every day, you may need to take two different medicines at the same time. This is called an overdose.
An overdose can cause a serious condition called sepsis. Sepsis can happen without warning symptoms. The risk is higher if someone’s taking the medicine at the wrong time.
Severe conditions, such as sepsis or life-threatening conditions, can cause you to feel extremely uncomfortable. You may experience dizziness, light-headedness, or faintness.
If you feel the same way when you take the medicine at the same time every day, you should contact a doctor. They may prescribe you an alternative medicine that you can skip.
Make sure your doctor knows if you are taking a medicine that is habit-forming. You should know that you are not immune to the effects of an antibiotic. Be sure to tell your doctor if your blood sugar level is too low.
Some people with diabetes may require extra care. Tell your doctor if you have been prescribed Augmentin. Also tell your doctor if you have liver disease or kidney disease.
Augmentin may not be suitable for you if you have certain medical conditions.

Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections in the body that affect the skin, soft tissues, lungs, ears, urinary tract, and nasal sinuses. It should be mentioned that viral infections like the flu and the common cold are not treated by this medication.
Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet consists of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin acts by destroying the outer protein layer, thereby killing the bacteria (bactericidal action). Clavulanic acid inhibits the enzyme beta-lactamase, which prevents bacteria from destroying the efficacy of amoxycillin. As a result, the action of Clavulanic acid allows Amoxycillin to work better and kill the bacteria. Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.
The dose of Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. Also, it is recommended to complete the course of medicine even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance). The common side effects of Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhoea. Everyone may not experience the above side effects. In case of any discomfort, speak with a doctor.
Before starting Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic) or kidney or liver problems. Do not take AUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION if you have a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams, including penicillin and cephalosporins, or any other ingredients of this medicine. It is not recommended for use if you have a history of amoxicillin-clavulanate-associated jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
Before taking AUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you are suffering from hepatic or renal impairment. This medicine should be used with caution in pregnant women and only when necessary.
In breastfeeding women, it should be used with caution. AUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION should be used with caution in children (aged below 12 years) and elderly patients (above 50 years).

AUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION Inadequate DosageAUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION is available in different strengths, with capsules containing 2 mg and 5 mg being more suitable for the patient's needs. The usual dosage for patients with mild to moderate kidney disease is one 20 mg oral tablet taken 1 time in a day, taken 1 to 3 hours before intercourse. The dosage for severe kidney disease is 5 mg oral tablet taken twice daily.
Dosage Information for AUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION
The recommended dosage of AUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION in adults is 2 mg taken 1 times a day, in two to three divided doses. Based on the patient's response and tolerance, the dosage may be adjusted in increments of 2 mg per day. Patients with hepatic impairment usually take AUGMENTIN ES SUSPENSION at a dose of 5 mg once daily.
